Dr. Alya Arabi, Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, UAEU (2020-). She earned her PhD in Chemistry from Dalhousie University, Canada (2012), and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Mount Saint Vincent University/Dalhousie University, Canada (2008). She held the position of Honorary Lecturer at University College London, UK (2017-2021), and Associate Member at the University of Lethbridge, Canada (2016-2020). Dr. Arabi received prestigious awards, including the Killam Predoctoral Scholarship, Senate Medal for “Highest Aggregate” (MSVU), The UAEU Chancellor’s Recognition for Patents, and ZU Provost Research Award. She has publications in highly-ranked international journals and 5 granted USPTO patents.
