The BA Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP) organizes a meeting entitled “The Atlas of Islamic-World Science and Innovation: A Medium for Open Discussion”, on 9 and 10 May 2011.

The Meeting is a follow up on the “Atlas of Islamic-World Science and Innovation” research project, which aims to explore the changing landscape of science and innovation across a diverse selection of countries, with large Muslim populations, in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. It charts the delicate relationship between science, innovation, culture and politics, as well as explore and promote new opportunities for partnership and exchange.

“Atlas of Islamic-World Science and Innovation” is a project of many partners from across the Islamic world, Europe and North America. In Egypt, the BA is the National Research Partner and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology is the National Focal Point.
