A Cultural Seminar at Cairo International Book Fair in Celebration of the BA Winning the Sheikh Zayed Award for Supporting Arab Creative Industries

On the sidelines of the fifty-sixth edition of the Cairo International Book Fair, the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center organized a cultural seminar entitled "The Sheikh Zayed Book Award and the Support for Arab Creative Industries.” The seminar witnessed the participation of representatives of institutions that won the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, namely Dr. Al-Shaimaa Al-Demerdash, Executive Director of the BA Heritage Book Revival Project; Dr. Ahmed Said, Founder and CEO of the House of Wisdom Cultural Group; and Dr. Fatma El-Boudi, Founder of Dar Al-Ain for Publishing and Distribution. It was moderated by the media professional Mr. Mahmoud Sharaf.

Dr. Al-Shaimaa Al-Demerdash began her speech by stressing that the BA had won the Sheikh Zayed Award in 2022 in recognition of its prominent role as an integrated cultural edifice and a center of thought, culture, and science.

She added that this prestigious award consolidates the status of the Library and its noble mission of promoting pluralism, dialogue, and human harmony, and as a global cultural edifice that contributes to enriching the knowledge and cultural landscape at the regional and global levels.
