The BA Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program and the Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP), are organizing a series of workshops on leadership and negotiation skills in climate change for African students taking part in the "African Youth for Development" program, which aims to build the scientific and knowledge capacities of young people. The workshops are held from 2-5 February 2025 at Cairo and Ain Shams Universities’ Embassies of Knowledge.
The workshops aim to raise the awareness of young people about the challenges of climate change and its effects on the African continent. It also aims to discuss the effects of drought, extreme weather events, and the changing in agricultural crop productivity due to high temperatures and floods that may occur on the continent, while highlighting the skills necessary for leadership and negotiation in this field.
The workshops will be attended by a group of African students from South Sudan, Sudan, and Egypt, who are studying at Egyptian universities.
