Heritage Science Day: Empowering Science for Cultural Heritage Seminar

The BA Antiquities Museum and the Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage (CULTNAT), in cooperation with Ritsumeikan University, organize a seminar entitled “Heritage Science Day: Empowering Science for Cultural Heritage”, on Thursday, 20 February 2025; from 9:30 am to 2:15 pm,  in the Auditorium Hall, BA Main Entrance.

The exchange of knowledge between the specialists and researchers in the field of cultural heritage and related sciences has become essential to achieving the required development of policies and means for the sustainable preservation of Egyptian cultural heritage. Based on this concept, the speakers will present the fruit of cooperation between the Egyptian and Japanese researchers in advanced practical expertise applied to serve cultural heritage. Moreover, they will display the projects implemented by the BA in the field of heritage documentation which will be available to the public. One of these projects include the “Wall of Knowledge: Amduat Papyrus” project, which is a joint project between the Antiquities Museum and CULTNAT that will be inaugurated on the same day of the seminar.
