In light of its fruitful and ongoing cooperation with the National Training Academy, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, through its Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage, took part in training the first class (100 students) of the Presidential Leadership Program.
The Center organized a workshop entitled “Your Heritage is Your Future: We Cherish Our Heritage,” which combines the grandeur of the past with the innovation of the future. The workshop began with a journey through time with a presentation entitled “Panorama of Heritage,” which highlights Egyptian civilization throughout the ages. The second part of the workshop included an activity that challenged participants to rebuild models of a water clock and an astrolabe, where they learned the physical principles and worked in teams to build and calibrate these ancient instruments, emulating the precision and genius of the ancient Egyptians.
Prior to the workshop, participants also visited the Religious Complex in Old Cairo and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.
