The Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies, in collaboration with Alexandria Centre for Maritime Archaeology & Underwater Cultural Heritage, the Egyptian National Commission for Education Science and Culture, the UNESCO Office in Cairo, and the Ministry of Antiquities, organizing a workshop entitled "The Role of UNESCO in Preserving the Submerged Cultural Heritage in Egypt." The workshop will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2019, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Alexandria Library, Conference Center, Delegations Hall.

The Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

Under the auspices of Mrs. Marianna V. Vardinoyannis; UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, President of the Marianna V. Vardinoyannis Foundation, and Bibliotheca Alexandrina Advisory Board Member,
Founder and Honorary President of Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies

A glorious and moving ceremony was held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina on Monday, 21 October 2019, in celebration of the ten-year Anniversary of the Center for Hellenic Studies, which was inaugurated in 2008 and has been operating in the Library at the initiative of the Vardinoyannis family.
