Intel BASEF Students at the Arab Intel Competition

The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) Intel Bibliotheca Alexandrina Science and Engineering Fair (Intel BASEF) participants won 4 prizes in the Arab Intel 2011 Competition held in Sharja, the United Arab Emirates, from 27 to 30 November 2011.
Arab Intel is the first scientific Arab competition for secondary school students of the age group 14 to 18 years.
One hundred and thirty students from more than 10 Arab countries presented around 80 scientific projects in the competition.
Rana Mohamed Abd El-Rahman Adam (16 years old) won the second prize in the field of Medicine and Health. In Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, Aya Magdy El-Saqqa (16) came second. Mohamed Magdy El-Sayed and Ahmed Abd El-Kareem Aly (17) received the second prize in Electrical Engineering and Communication. The best project from Egypt was awarded to Mazen Abd El-Shakoor and Bahaa Khalil Salama.
