The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has driven itself towards becoming the promoter of the values of democracy and regaining its ancient position as a beacon of light, not only of knowledge, but also of freedom of expression. Within this enlightened framework, ISIS has been working on several projects, such as Arab InfoMall, for promoting reform in the Arab world generally, and in Egypt specifically.
